MEETING MINUTES
January 20, 2010

Attendance: Committee Chair Ray Holt; Dylan Reingold, Office
of General Counsel; John Crofts, Kristen Reed, and Folks Huxford, Department of
Planning and Development; Merriane Lahmeur, Jessica Stephens, and Rick Campbell,
Office of City Council
The Committee Chair, Ray Holt,
called the meeting to order at 3:45 p.m.
He asked Mr. John Crofts to take everyone through the marked agenda
containing the suggested committee actions.
Changes, additions, and
comments concerning the agenda as marked included:
09-664 Amendment will include
conditions, which may be revised, per Mr. Reingold; proper written description needs to be placed
in the LUZ booklet
09-864 Substitute may be
ready for consideration at next meeting
09-892 No conditions proposed
09-910 Public hearing
previously continued to February 2, 2010
09-932 In response to
inquiry, it was noted that this item was recommended for approval at the Recreation and Community Development
Committee meeting
After conclusion of the
agenda items, Mr. Crofts explained that legislation will soon be introduced to
update the Future Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan and that Ms.
Kristen Reed is spearheading the Planning and Development Department’s efforts
in this regard. It was agreed that a
Land Use and Zoning Committee workshop meeting will be held on February 2,
2010, at 4:30 p.m. prior to the regularly-scheduled committee meeting to
discuss the changes. All Council members
will be invited to attend, and information will be distributed via CD before
the meeting.
As there was no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:53 p.m.
