Representatives for small operators/incidental use (such as bars and billiards halls) suggested an amendment to provide an exemption, but no motion was made is this regard.  Other discussion involved the pari-mutuel provisions of the legislation and caps for both the adult arcade amusement centers and the internet cafes.

Mr. Wayne Doolittle addressed the committee concerning the status of the Fire Museum Advisory Board and the hiring of an administrator.  It was noted that this board is still found in the Ordinance Code, but that it is no longer populated.  The Chair suggested that anything pertaining to this board and hiring should be ceased, and advised that this would be an item for discussion at the next meeting.  Mr. Dan Kleman, Director of Fire and Rescue, is to be invited to attend that meeting.
