Attendance: Council Members Bishop (Chair), Johnson, R. Brown; Steve Rohan, Office of General Counsel; Janice Billy, Council Auditor’s Office; Sherry Hall, Administration; Lin White Public Works; Celeste Hicks, ECA; Philip Zamarron, Legislative Services.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and asked Assistant Auditor Janice Billy to review the agenda items.

Though Item #3, ORD 2010-226, Closing & Abandoning Portion of 7^th St W, bet Powhattan & Hiram Sts, at Req of Edward Waters College, was marked for Deferral, the Chair indicated that he had heard from the bill’s sponsor, Council Member Jones, that the measure was ready for action. Council Member Johnson requested that the bill be deferred; she indicated that though there had been a meeting on September 9^th to discuss the matter, it was her understanding that a number of residents in the neighborhood had not received any notice of the meeting and that many were unaware of the legislative intent to close a street in their neighborhood. The Chair indicated that he would defer the bill at the Council Member’s (Johnson) request at the Committee meeting.

On Item #9, ORD 2010-687, Auth Sovereignty Submerged Lands Fee Waived Lease Renewal with Fla Bd of Trustees, Internal Improvemt Trust Fund to Operate an Existing 78-Slip Public Marina, Sherry Hall, Administration, explained that this renewal procedure is something that we automatically do every five (5) years.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:33 p.m.
