Reingold and Paul Harden representing AFI Associates answered numerous
questions from the committee and discussed the concerns/issues raised by the
Planning Department, Office of General Counsel and JEDC. There was discussion of the 15% appraisal
difference clause and what actions that would trigger. Council Member Crescimbeni suggested the
need for a mechanism to allow the deal to go forward if the property
appraisals differ by more than 15%, but with City Council participation so
that the decision is not entirely an administrative one. Council Member Carter asked several
questions regarding the hunting preserve adjacent to the park property and
the timber rights on the property. AMEND/APPROVE 4-0 1.
Clarify in bill swap is of City 11.6
acres and AFI 57.82 acres. Additional acres not part of swap but required by
previous DRI. 2.
Attach revised agreement correcting
exh B – AFI property description & property sketch, appraisals to be used
