Amendment

Per OGC, the Amendment decreases the permitted duration of the cessation of a nonconforming use from 12 consecutive months to 6 consecutive months for only non-residential uses on property which is located adjacent to residential uses or residential zoning districts on at least 75 percent of the property. If the non-residential, nonconforming use ceases for a period of 6 consecutive months, a subsequent use must conform to the regulations of the district.

Per OGC, the Amendment incorporates a revised PUD written description, dated October 17, 2012, and adds the following conditions to the PUD: (1) The Subject Property shall be developed in accordance with the Development Services Division Memorandum dated October 10, 2012 or as otherwise approved by the Planning and Development Department; and (2) A detailed site plan meeting the requirements of section 656.341(c)(2)(i) shall be approved through the minor modification process set forth in Section 656.341(f)(2) of the Zoning Code.

Finance: City Council will establish the City’s lobbying priorities for FY12-13 and oversee the hiring of a lobbying firm, and will require reporting of lobbying strategy and implementation every 30 days, beginning 30 days prior to the Florida legislative session and continuing 30 days after the conclusion of the session.

 

Floor: City Council shall hire a legislative consultant during FY12-13 to assist the Council in setting legislative policy.  The Council, as the using agency, shall work with the Procurement Division to draft an RFP to hire the consultant.
