CITY COUNCIL AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Meeting Convened: 4:02 p.m.

Council President Joost convened the meeting and asked the committee chairs to report their committee actions.

Rules Committee: Council Member Bishop reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting. Council Member Schellenberg asked to be added as a co-sponsor on 2012-279.

TEU Committee: Council Member Anderson reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting. Council Member Brown requested that 2012-153 (granting CON renewal for Mulliniks Recycling) be deferred 2 weeks while the Planning Department develops additional conditions. Mr. Brown was hopeful that Planning Director Calvin Burney would have the language today but has not seen it.

Finance Committee: Council Member Jones reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting, noting that Finance and RCDPHS approved differing amendments to 2012-228 (authorizing lease with S.O.C.K. Outstanding Students Academy). The RCDPHS amendment should be moved.

RCDPHS Committee: Council Member Gulliford reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

LUZ Committee: Council Member Brown reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

Council Member Daniels requested emergency action on 2012-299 (amending the courthouse project budget to specify use of $750,000 for purchase of new hearing room furniture). President Joost said the bill will be taken up after the quasi-judicial items and the Consent Agenda.

Council Member Boyer stated that 2012-272 concerns a cross-easement agreement and is a companion bill to the rezoning bill 2012-193 which is still pending in the LUZ Committee. She asked that 2012-272 be re-referred to TEU and Finance and additionally referred to LUZ.

Council Member Anderson confirmed that 2012-203 (Ordinance Code amendment to change the membership of the Police and Fire Pension Fund board and appointing 3 replacement board members) will be re-referred to Rules to fill in the names of the replacement appointees.

President Joost reminded the members of the collective bargaining shade meeting taking place immediately following the agenda meeting in Conference Room A.
