C/M Love explained his decision to declare a conflict of interest and abstain from voting to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

 

Public hearing comments focused on issues relative to parking, effects on neighborhood, overlay, size and intensity, and public safety.  The use of parking agreements or permits was discussed.  Former C/M Michael Corrigan was asked to speak concerning his views and the intent of overlay provisions.  Most of the speakers favored the appeal, and Mr. Edward Salem noted that many in opposition to the appeal were not present due to having been told that public comment would be heard at a later date.  It was stated that public comment will be entertained on 02-22-12, but that the focus of that meeting will be on procedural issues.
