FINANCE COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

 

April 2, 2012

Attendance:  Council Members John Crescimbeni (Chair), Greg Anderson (Vice Chair), Lori Boyer, Bill Gulliford, Clay Yarborough

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:33 a.m. and reviewed the Council Auditor’s marked agenda which showed 8 items marked for deferral, 8 items ready for action and 6 items for second reading and re-referral.

 

Mayor’s Chief of Staff Chris Hand was requested to check on the status of the anticipated presentation on the Finance Department’s CIP review report which is to be presented today.

 

Chairman Crescimbeni stated that 2012-730, 2013-118 and 2013-179, all relating to locations for the Supervisor of Elections’ operations center, will be the subject of a joint Rules/Finance/TEU Committee meeting sometime next week, probably April 10th or 11th.

 

Mr. Crescimbeni also noted that 2013-183 (economic development incentive for DB Services New Jersey, Inc.) and 2013-184 (economic development incentive for Digital Risk, LLC) are fast-track economic incentive bills and will have an opportunity for public comment.

 

Mr. Hand stated that he had e-mailed the council members earlier in the day with an update on the status of the Florida House and Senate bills proposing to amend the state’s Telecommunication Services Tax, which do not appear to be moving very swiftly at this point in the session.

 

Mr. Crescimbeni announced that the previously scheduled update by the Parks and Recreation Department on the City’s wetlands mitigation bank will be postponed to the next meeting.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 9:39 a.m.
