At the close of the agenda items. Assistant General Counsel Paige Johnston reviewed the draft ordinance that she had prepared for Emergency Medical Transportation Service Certificates of Necessity and Convenience that is addressed in Chapter 158 of the Ordinance Code.  Enactment of the ordinance by the Council would enable the process for Shand’s new Emergency Medical Transportation Service (TraumaOne) to apply for a new Certificate of Convenience and Necessity, as required by Jacksonville Fire & Rescue.  The Committee voted 6-0 to direct Ms. Johnston to file the draft ordinance.

There being no further business, the Committee meeting adjourned at 4:30 P.M..
