Bill Summary

The committee discussed the current contract and the need for the extension with Ken Pinnix of Cardno TBE and Planning and Development Director Calvin Burney.  It appeared to the committee that Mr. Pinnix had been performing economic development-related tasks on behalf of the Office of Economic Development and had not been developing grant applications as the contract scope of services provides.  Mr. Pinnix indicated that none of the invoices he has submitted to date have been paid by the City. A grant application window is supposed to open on October 1st with a 2-month response deadline, so there is some urgency to get this contract extended.
