Council Member Schellenberg explained
his intent for the bill, which is to allow a different lease length for a
proposed cell tower site at Alberts Field Park.
The committee discussed whether the bill could be substituted to achieve
that aim; Peggy Sidman advised that the difference between the intent of the
ordinance as filed (Ordinance Code amendment) and of the substitute (approve a
one-time lease agreement) was sufficiently great that a substitute would be
inappropriate. She can have a new
ordinance drafted this week for introduction next Tuesday to approve the lease
agreement.

Council Member Boyer announced that her previously-announced
noticed meeting with Council Member Daniels for later today to discuss
entertainment districts has subsequently been cancelled.
Council Member Crescimbeni thanked Chairman Yarborough for a
year of good work as the chair of the Rules Committee.
