Meeting Convened:

TEU Committee: Council Member Love reviewed the actions of
the committee from its meeting.
Rules Committee: Council Member Jones reviewed the actions
of the committee from its meeting.
RCD Committee: Council Member Crescimbeni reviewed
the actions of the committee from its meeting. A floor amendment will be
offered to 2014-301 (receiving $50,000 private donation for summer recreational
programs) to add additional parks.
Council Member Lee requested that 2014-6 (appropriating $1.2 million in
HOME program income to the CHDO development program and departmental
administration) be re-referred to committee while she meets with the Council
Auditor’s Office to determine if the proposed uses for the funds comply with
the original program requirements.
LUZ Committee: Council Member Boyer reviewed the actions of
the committee from its meeting.
PHS Committee: Council Member Daniels reviewed the actions
of the committee from its meeting.
Finance Committee: Council Member Anderson reviewed the
actions of the committee from its meeting.
Council Member Crescimbeni stated that he has heard nothing
from the City administration on the subject of the purchase of water taxis as
reported in the media and wants to have a Council briefing on the
administration’s plans. President Gulliford said that Chief Administrative
Officer Karen Bowling would address the Council just before the Public Comment
period of the meeting.
Council Member Daniels requested permission to have a bill
added to the addendum appropriating funds she has identified for summer camp
programs, for action as an emergency on first reading. Council Member Lee
requested that the portion of the bill referring to an appropriation to the
First Tee program at Brentwood be pulled from the bill; she and Council Member
Joost have scheduled a noticed meeting later in the week to discuss a donation
of matching funds by the PGA Tour to activities at the Brentwood First Tee.
