amendment. Dave Herrell, Sports and Entertainment, explained what the
legislation entailed. A lengthy exchange ensued.
Council Member Katrina Brown contended that reimbursements should be
given to the other promoters. Council
Member Al Ferraro wanted assurances that the situation necessitating the
reimbursement would not happen again in the future. Council Member Reggie Brown decried the
current state of Metro Park. Mr.
Herrell explained the uniqueness of the situation with Mr. Wimmer. Daryl Joseph, Director, Parks, Recreation
& Community Services, fielded questions, as well Council Member Reggie Brown announced that he would be
calling for a noticed meeting with the Mayor’s Office, Public Works, Sports
& Entertainment and others to address Metro Park issues and concerns. |

announced that his office would be meeting with the Northwest Jacksonville Economic
