Summary
F: Defer DEFER There was a lengthy exchange on this item before the Chair
deferred the matter. The item had been
marked for action. Council Member Reggie Brown requested Assistant General
Counsel Lawsikia Hodges to explain the different components of an amendment
that he was submitting,
He explained that the amendment was the culmination of
recommendations made at the noticed meetings that the Council Member had
arranged to address and resolve issues that had been raised. The first component of the amendment that
Ms. Hodges explained would provide CHoDos with the first right of refusal for
the first 30 days. Affordable Housing
Coordinator, Dayatra Coles, fielded numerous questions on the proposed
legislation and amendments. The Chair recommended that instead of deliberating on all
of the components of Council Member Reggie Brown’s amendment in the course of
the Committee meeting, that the discussion ensue at the noticed meeting that
the Finance Chair had called for Monday morning, April 25th. |
