The Vice Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. and reviewed the marked agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had prepared.  There were eight (8) items ready for action; three (3) items that were being deferred; five (5) items that were being seconded and re-referred; and emergency passage requests for three (3) items.

 

Though Item #1, ORD-MC 2015-519, Amend Chapt 122 (Public Propty), Sec 122.461 (Donation for Residential Housing), Ord. Code, to increase Value of Propty City may Donate from $25,000 to $50,000……, had been marked as ready for action , Council Member Reggie Brown had requested that this item be deferred.

 

On Item #6, ORD 2016-133, Approp $47,349 ($35,512 from US Dept of Homeland Security – Port Security Prog & Local Match of $11,837 from Spec Law Enforcemt Trust Fund) to JSO for Twin Boat Motors for the JSO Marine Unit…, Council Member Ferraro inquired as to what does JSO do with the boat motors that are being replaced.  Bill Clement explained that the motors are surplused.

 

On Item #11, RESO 2016-159, Auth Issuance by Jax Housing Finance Auth of its Homeowner Mortgage Rev Bonds….., Council Member Ferraro asked about the objectives of the proposed legislation.  Laura Stagner, Finance Director, Neighborhood & Housing, explained what the ordinance entailed.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 9:05 A.M.
