Attendance: Council Members Garrett Dennis (Chair), Tommy Hazouiri: Deputy General Counsel Peggy Sidman, Heather Reber, Council Auditor’s Office, Allison Korman Shelton, Administration, Jeff Clements, John J. Jackson, Council Research Division, Legislative Assistant Juliette Williams; see attached sign-in sheet for additional attendees.
The Chair called the Rules Committee Agenda meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. He reviewed the marked agenda that the Council Auditor’s Office had provided. Ten (10) items were ready for action, six (6) items were being deferred and eight (8) items were being seconded and re-referred.
On Item #6, ORD 2016-649, Amend Council Rule 4.1101 (Appearance before Committee), Part 11 (Appointments & Confirmations)…., the Chair advised Jessica Laird, Administrative Aide, Mayor’s Office, and Paul Shoup, Information Systems Administrator, City Council, to be prepared to be at the podium in Council Chambers to address issues or answer questions that might be raised during the Rules Committee meeting.
The Chair announced that the first topic to be discussed during the Special Meeting would be Council Rule 1.304, Travel and Expenses. The Council President is expected to be in attendance to remark on this item.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 12:39 p.m.
