Tom Frick, Director, Environmental Assessment and Restoration, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, commented on DEP’s position on the resolution.  He commended the Substitute Resolution replacing 67 chemicals in one of the whereas clauses to “numerous” chemicals.

 

Lisa Rinaman, St. Johns Riverkeeper, explained  why the DEP rule on surface water quality standards is being challenged by a number of entities.

 

Upon adoption, this resolution will be sent directly to the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D. C.
