Attendance: Council Members Garrett Dennis (Chair), Danny Becton, Tommy Hazouri, Jim Love, Scott Wilson; Deputy General Counsel Peggy Sidman, Heather Reber, Council Auditor’s Office, Allison Korman Shelton, Administration, Jeff Clements, John J. Jackson, Council Research Division, Legislative Assistant Crystal Shemwell; see attached sign-in sheet for additional attendees.
The Chair called the agenda meeting to order at 12:30 P.M. and reviewed the marked agenda that had been prepared by the Council Auditor’s Office. There were sixteen (16) items ready for action, six (6) items being deferred, one (1) items being seconded and re-referred, and one item with a request for emergency passage.
On Item #12, RESO 2016-421, Reappt Richard G. Patsy to the Jax Police 7 Fire Pension Bd of Trustees for a 1st 4-Yr Term…, Council Member Greg Anderson asked Council Member Danny Becton to explain why he had requested that the item be deferred. Council Member Becton explained that he wanted to have an opportunity to sit down and discuss some matters with Mr. Patsy. Council Member John Crescimbeni concurred; he too wanted to have an opportunity to meet and discuss matters with Mr. Patsy. Council Member Tommy Hazouri said that as the Council’s Liaison to the Pension Bd of Trustees, he had been very impressed with Mr. Patsy.
There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 12:39 P.M.
