Meeting Convened: 1:30 p.m.

 

Chairman Schellenberg called the meeting to order and asked the attendees to introduce themselves. He reviewed the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 12 items marked for deferral, 29 items ready for action (1 as a substitute, 1 for withdrawal) and 10 items for second reading and re-referral.

 

2015-794 (confirming appointment of Kara Tucker to the Election Advisory Panel): will be deferred to the next meeting.

 

2015-816 and -817 (confirming appointments of Deborah Johnson and Dr. Georgette Dumont to the Public Service Grant Council): Deputy General Counsel Peggy Sidman explained that the recent Special Committee on Public Service Grants recommended that the terms of the 15 members of the council be staggered instead of all expiring on December 31, 2016. These bills could be amended to change the term expiration dates to begin instituting this term stagger.

 

2015-654 (creating a new Ordinance Code section regarding automobile allowances or vehicle assignments for constitutional officers): Ms. Sidman explained the proposed substitute for the bill and described the various allowance options and amounts. She agreed to distribute a recent e-mail from Clerk of the Courts Ronnie Fussell explaining his use of a state vehicle.
