Meeting Convened: 4:02 p.m.

President Bowman called the meeting to order and asked for the committee chairs’ reports.

TEU Committee: Council Member Ferraro reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

NCSPHS Committee: Council Member Newby reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

Finance Committee: Council Member Anderson reported that all of the committee’s actions had been previously covered.

Rules Committee: Council Member Hazouri reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

LUZ Committee: Council Member Schellenberg reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

President Bowman announced that the Finance Committee amendments would be moved for 2019-173 and 2019-179. He also announced that there will be a 2-item addendum to the agenda of bills for introduction only.

Council Member Schellenberg proposed that 2019-270 (Resolution Declaring May 7, 2019 as Northeast Florida Builders Association Apprenticeship Program Apprentice Appreciation Day Council) be amended to add all council members as co-sponsors. It was pointed out that since the bill is just on the addendum for introduction, there will be no opportunity for an amendment tonight. Mr. Schellenberg and all the other council members present requested the Legislative Services Division to add them as co-sponsors.

Council Member Pittman asked to be added as a co-sponsor on 2019-218 (Resolution Honoring and Commending The Players Championship Golf Tournament) and 2019-224 (Resolution Honoring and Commending Officer Hector A. Gutierrez-Nichols on being named JSO's Corrections Officer of the Year).
