Meeting Convened: 4:00 p.m.

 

President Bowman called the meeting to order and asked for the committee chairs’ reports.

 

TEU Committee: Council Member Ferraro reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

On 2019-111 (amending regulations for solid waste certificates of public convenience and necessity) the TEU Committee amendment will be moved.

 

NCSPHS Committee: Council Member Newby reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

 

Finance Committee: Council Member Anderson reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

 

Rules Committee: Council Member Hazouri reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

 

LUZ Committee: Council Member Schellenberg reviewed the actions of the committee from its meeting.

2018-759 (rezoning on Atlantic Boulevard for Episcopal High School): the LUZ amendment will be moved first, then the floor amendment that swaps out a map approved by the LUZ Committee without an originally proposed condition regarding “no parking” signs.

 

Council Member Love said that he would be offering a floor amendment to 2019-95 (VyStar Credit Union naming rights agreement for the Veterans Memorial Arena) to provide for reversion of the arena name in the event of a contractual breach.

 

President Bowman announced that Council Member Hazouri will take over as floor leader when Council Member Anderson is excused for early departure.

 

Council Member Anderson confirmed that there is there only going to be one floor amendment proposed to 2019-95.

 

President Bowman announced that the first item of business will be a Kids Hope Alliance presentation by its Executive Director Joe Peppers, followed by the resolution presentations.
