Bill Summary Fact Sheet
Council Member Bill Gulliford reported
that the Medical Examiner’s Office had provided him with the answers to
questions that he had previously raised about the numbers related to drug
overdose deaths. Mr. Gulliford indicated
that he had forwarded the Medical Examiner’s Office’s findings to Committee
members over the holiday break. He also
wanted to know the numbers for homicides
and the breakdown for age groups. Mr.
Gulliford characterized the drug overdose deaths as a serious community problem
and it was his intention to request the Public Health & Safety Committee to
address this concern.
There being no further business, the
meeting was adjourned at 9:34 a.m.
