Most of the appropriated $200,000 is under contract and waiting to be disbursed

be based on census blocks rather than census tracts. |

Concern: The City has not
received the grant funds yet from Northeast Florida Regional Council.
Typically funds are not appropriated from a private entity until the
funds have been received. The Northeast Florida Regional Council will pay
the City an amount not to exceed $15,000 on a reimbursement basis for the
purchase of one AeroClave decontamination system. |
BILL SUMMARY FACT SHEET 7-0 Amend/Approve Kim
Taylor, Assistant Council Auditor, gave an overview of the Auditor’s Office’s
concerns with the bill. The concern was standard in terms of having a private
grant which would require the City to appropriate the funds and wait for a reimbursement.
Chief Castleman stated that this was not a grant, but it is a Project Award for
which he has the award letter. The committee adopted a floor amendment to
change “grant” to “project” and that was rolled into the marked amendment. |
