Attendance:   Council Members: Sam Newby (Chair), Bill Gulliford, Anna Lopez Brosche, Aaron Bowman, Joyce Morgan

Also: Paige Johnston – Office of General Counsel; Kyle Billy – Council Auditor’s Office; Jordan Elsbury – Mayor’s Office; Philip Zamarron – Legislative Services Division; Yvonne Mitchell – Council Research Division

Meeting Convened: 8:32 a.m.

Chairman Newby called the meeting to order and asked the attendees to introduce themselves. Mr. Herbert Helsel with the Department of Children and Families will provide a presentation on Mental Health during the committee meeting as a follow up to the last special committee meeting.

The Chair reviewed the reviewed the Auditor’s marked agenda which included six (7) items marked ready for action (1 marked as a substitute), three (3) items marked for deferral and five (5) items recommended for second reading and re-referral.

Security at block parties and other special events is the special committee meeting’s topic.
