Bill Summary: This bill amends an Interlocal Agreement between the City and Baker, Clay, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns counties and authorizes the Administration to sign the agreement. Changes to the Interlocal Agreement are:

• Change of name from Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council to Northeast Florida Regional Council as the scope and diversity of programs has increased,
• Change titles of Council officers from Chairman, First Vice-Chairman, and Second Vice-Chairman to President, First Vice-President, and Second Vice-President so as to be gender neutral and distinguish positions from titles used for Standing and Ad Hoc committees.

Background Information: The Council, which covers Regional District 4, was formed in 1977 by an inter-local agreement, pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, to "...establish an organization that will promote area wide coordination and related cooperative activities of federal, state, and local governments ensuring a broad based regional organization that can provide a truly regional perspective and enhance the ability and opportunity of local governments to resolve issues and problems transcending their individual boundaries." There are 11 such regional planning councils in the state.
