FINANCE COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.

Four committee members have been excused from the meeting today (Shad, Hyde, Jabour and Clark), so the Council President has temporarily appointed Council Member Warren Jones to the committee to make a quorum available.

Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy reviewed the agenda, which includes 14 items to be deferred, 1 item recommended for withdrawal, 13 items ready for action, 1 item recommended for amendment and re-referral, and 10 items recommended for second reading and re-referral. Ms. Billy pointed out the attachment included as page 13 of the agenda which is a brief summary of the important provisions of the proposed JEA Professional Employees Association collective bargaining agreement (see ordinance 2007-989).

At the conclusion of the agenda the Housing and Neighborhoods Department requests Finance Committee approval of a proposed Request For Proposals for loan credit and underwriting services. The approval is not in legislative form but requires committee approval pursuant to previous Council action.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:36 p.m.
