MEETING MINUTES
November 6, 2007

Attendance: Committee Chair Michael Corrigan; Committee
Member Clay Yarborough; Council Member Ray Holt; Shannon Eller, Dylan Reingold,
and Jason Teal, Office of General Counsel; John Crofts, Sean Kelly, and Folks
Huxford, Department of Planning and Development; Jessica Stephens, Merriane
Lahmeur, and Rick Campbell, Office of City Council
The Committee Chair, Michael
Corrigan, called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. He announced that the Land
Use and Zoning Committee meeting would begin jointly with the Public Health and
Safety Committee concerning 2007-984.
Afterward, the regular Land Use and Zoning Committee agenda would be
addressed, with the bills of any guest Council Members being considered
first. He then asked Mr. John Crofts to
take everyone through the marked agenda containing the suggested committee
actions.
Changes, additions, and
comments concerning the agenda as marked included:
2007-919 Each side will be
given 10 minutes, per the Chair
2007-1007 Mr. Paul Harden
advised that there was an additional amended legal, dated today
2007-1010 If no payment is
made for advertising, hearing continuation is suggested
2007-1011 A substitution for
PUD zoning may be considered at a future meeting
2007-1014 If no payment is
made for advertising, hearing continuation is suggested
2007-1036 The proposed amendment
provides a corrected legal description
2007-1046 A request to read into the record a letter from the Planning
Commission was noted
2007-1047 Deferral was suggested
as readvertisement will be needed and the anticipated
substitute is has not been finalized
2007-1071 and 2007-1072 There
will be a technical amendment to the legal description at a future meeting
2007-1078 Substitution for
PUD zoning and rereferral was recommended by Legal
2007-1085 The proposed
amendment provides a revised legal description
2007-1126 In response to a
question, Legal stated that a ballot should be taken on the committee’s report
As there was no further
business, the meeting adjourned at 3:21 p.m.
