AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Lin White – Public Works Department
The meeting was called to
order at 3:38 p.m.
Phillip Peterson of the
Council Auditor’s Office reviewed the marked agenda, which includes 1 item recommended
for action as an emergency, 1 item recommended for withdrawal, and 2 items
recommended for second reading and re-referral
Two presentations are
scheduled after the legislative items of the agenda are concluded. Council Member Joost and representatives of
the Sheriff’s Office will give a presentation on camera enforcement of red
lights. Mr. Wayne Reed of R-A-M
Professional Group, the City’s landscape architecture consultant, will make a
brief presentation on their projects and capabilities.
Chairman Hyde talked about
other possible agenda items for upcoming meetings. He intends to schedule a presentation on the
issue of violent crime in the next 4-6 weeks.
He also proposed that the committee consider holding several PHS
meetings in the evenings in various locations around the community to give the
general public a chance to address any concerns and ideas to the committee. Mr. Hyde intends to follow up on the
presentation at the last meeting by Auto Masters on outsourcing fleet
management services, with representatives of the City Motor Pool being invited
to attend the next PHS meeting to react to the Auto Masters proposal.
Council Member Holt indicated
that he has done some research on the subject of bridge safety in the City, and
will be inviting Public Works Department and FDOT personnel to the second
November PHS meeting.

business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:44 p.m.
