The meeting was called to
order at 3:35 p.m.
The Committee Vice Chair
reviewed the marked agenda provided by the Council Auditor’s Office, which
includes two items recommended for action, one deferral and 9 items for second
reading and re-referral.
At the conclusion of the agenda
there will be two presentations – one by Sheriff John Rutherford and the other
by Dan Kleman, Director of the Fire and Rescue Department – about the effects
of the proposed budget cuts on their departments’ operations.
Mr. Zamarron noted that bill
2007-419 amending the Ordinance Code regarding dancing entertainment
establishments had been referred to the PHS Committee after having been
accidentally omitted in the change-over from the previous to the current
committee structure.
There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
