The meeting was called to order at 1:38 p.m.
Assistant Council Auditor
Janice Billy reviewed the marked committee agenda which included 11 items to be
deferred, 26 items ready for action and 5 items to be read a second time and
re-referred.
2006-591 – creation of a
Soutel/Moncrief Retail Redevelopment Area: needs a public hearing and then is
ready for action.
2008-703 – Medical Examiner’s
office fee schedule: see fee schedule attached as p. 13 of the marked agenda.
2008-721 – appropriation of
$2.49 million from the Tree Protection and Related Expenses Trust Fund for a
countywide tree canopy study and tree planting project in several
neighborhoods: deferred at the request of the administration.
Chief Legislative Counsel
Peggy Sidman requested committee consideration of the annual tax roll errors,
discounts and insolvencies bill. This
bill is introduced annually under the sponsorship of the Finance Committee,
which can approve it for introduction at next week’s Council meeting by means
of a voice vote.
There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:46 p.m.
