In response to a question from Council Member Warren Jones about whether the City’s conveyance to Operation New Hope requires the qualified purchaser to stay in the house for a minimum period of time (prohibition against “flipping” the property), Wight Greger replied that it did not, but the home must be sold to an eligible owner.  Council Member Joost suggested the imposition of a minimum ownership period such as is required by Habijax on its properties.  Council Member W. Jones and Ms. Greger will meet to discuss the issue before next Tuesday’s Council meeting.
