The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.

 

Chairman Shad reviewed the agenda items, which include 12 items to be deferred, 28 items ready for action, and 9 items to be read second and re-referred.  

 

Councilman Yarborough will be in attendance to address Ordinance 2008-165 appropriating Tree Protection Trust Fund dollars to the Rogero Road Town Center project, which will be taken up out of order at the beginning of the meeting.  Item #14, Ordinance 2008-129 (stormwater utility), will be taken up when Council President Davis arrives at the meeting.  Assistant Council Auditor Janice Billy noted that Ordinance 2008-151(appropriation of funds for purchase of Intracoastal Waterway boat ramp) has another small amendment in addition to the 5 amendments listed on the marked agenda, to add language relating to acquisition of property.

 

The chairman pointed out the 2 attachments to the marked agenda, consisting of a memo from the Council Auditor regarding bill 2007-1136 (general employees pension plan defined contribution option) and a proposed amendment to 2008-129 (stormwater utility).

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:34 p.m.
