LAND USE AND ZONING COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

February 5, 2008

Attendance:  Committee Chair Michael Corrigan; Committee Members Clay Yarborough, Mia Jones, and Jack Webb; Council Member Johnny Gaffney; Shannon Eller and Dylan Reingold, Office of General Counsel; John Crofts, Sean Kelly, and Folks Huxford, Department of Planning and Development; Jessica Stephens, Merriane Lahmeur, and Rick Campbell, Office of City Council

The Committee Chair, Michael Corrigan, called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.  He asked Mr. John Crofts to take everyone through the marked agenda containing the suggested committee actions.

Changes, additions, and comments concerning the agenda as marked included:

2005-718 The Chair inquired as to whether the public hearing should be closed, but was advised    to continue it by legal staff

2007-1011 The committee was informed that a PUD will be forthcoming

2007-1046 Dr. Gaffney stated that an amicable solution was close, and asked if the bill should       be amended and rereferred; in response to comments from legal staff, it was decided the        bill would not be amended at tonight’s meeting

2007-1215 The Chair announced that each side would be given 10 minutes; an amendment is         being proposed to reduce the term and provide a more detailed performance schedule

2007-1308 Planning staff advised there may be a revision to the conditions

2007-1340 The legislation will be recommended for substitution and rereferral in two weeks

2007-1350 The Chair stated that each side will be given 20 minutes

2008-11 The Chair stated that each side will be given 20 minutes

2008-20 An amendment clarifying real estate numbers may be proposed

2008-21 An amendment clarifying real estate number may be proposed

The Chair commented that the Blue Way issue is not being heard tonight, to which C/M Webb responded that none of the involved Mandarin citizens will be present at tonight’s meeting.

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:16 p.m.
