MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING of the Council of the City of Jacksonville, held in Council Chambers, City Hall, Jacksonville, Florida, August 20,2008. The meeting was called to order at 9:12 A.M. by President Ronnie Fussell. The meeting adjourned at 9:40 A.M.

Mayor John Peyton gave a briefing on the Emergency Preparedness Team and their responsibilities during Tropical Storm Fay. He also gave a status report pertaining to Tropical Storm Fay.

Martin Senterfitt, Chief of Emergency Preparedness, gave a briefing on the actions and duties of the emergency preparedness staff and on Tropical Storm Fay.

Eric Dickerson, Executive Director of JEA gave a briefing on the actions and responsibilities of JEA staff during Tropical Storm Fay.

Questions were asked by several Council members.

Roll was ordered on the proclamation.
