MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING of the Council of the City of Jacksonville, held in Council Chambers, City Hall, Jacksonville, Florida, March 31,2008. The meeting was called to order at 4:01 P.M. by Committee Chair Kevin Hyde. The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 P.M.

****The Committee, by voice vote, agreed to introduce legislation that would continue to regulate massage therapy clinics, but keep it separate from the adult entertainment codes.****

 

 

 

1. 2008-184 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $95,000 FROM THE SPECIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND FOR (1) TRAINING AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS COSTS TO BE INCURRED TO HOST THE FBI CONFERENCE IN JULY 2008 ($10,000); (2) THE POLICE EXPLORER PROGRAM ($20,000); AND, (3) THE POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE ($65,000), AS INITIATED BY B.T. 08-076; APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, OR HIS DESIGNEE, AND THE CORPORATION SECRETARY TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER, THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE AND THE POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; 3/17/2008 - Read 2nd & Rerefer
