The Chair called the Agenda meeting to order at 1:34 p.m. and reviewed those items on the agenda that were ready for action, deferral, and second reading and re-referral.
The amendment to Item #3, ORD 2008-821, Auth 3rd Amend to Redevelopment Agreemt with JEDC & H.O.P.E. Inc. of Jax & INOC, LLC, re Completion of I-95/Clark Rd Interchange, was discussed.
The Chair indicated that Coach Day would be present at the Committee meeting to address any concerns raised regarding Item #5, ORD 2008-993, Approp $87,000 for Bob Hayes Acct to fund Track Meet for FY 2009.
On Item #9, ORD 2008-1020, Approp $16,000 in Fla Boater Improvemtn Prog Grant Funds thru Fla Fish & Wildlife Conservation Comm Grant Agreemt for Duval County Derelict Vessel Removal, the Chair wanted to know how many abandoned vessels were we talking about and what was the nature of the vessel removal process. Jody McDaniel indicated that the number was considerable, that they often were a hazard to navigation in our waterways and that the authorities tried to identify the vessels’ owners and, failing to do so, relegated the vessels as derelict and abandoned.
The Chair indicated that he felt that there would be general discussion on Item #13, ORD 2008-1036, Approp from NW Jax Economic Dev Fund to First Coast No More Homeless Pets, Inc.
There being for further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m.
