The Chair called the re-scheduled RCD Committee agenda meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
The Chair asked the Council Auditors Office’s Janice Billy to review the agenda to indicate what items were ready for action or deferral.
On Item #4, Ordinance 2007-1348, ORD Amend Sec 191.114 (Attendance & Participant Standards fro Public Safety Emerg Med Personnel at Special Events), Ord Code, to Remove Requirements at Specified Indoor Events within 1 Mile of Jax Fire & Rescue Stations, the Chair inquired about the Administration’s current position on the proposed legislation. Lisa Rinaman indicated that the Administration was close to a compromise between the parties and that the Administration was going to either offer a substitute bill or move for a withdrawal.
On Item #9, Ordinance 2008-204, ORD Approp $100,000
for Hydrology Study on Forecasted Effects of Withdrawals of Millions of Gallons of Water from St. Johns River, the Chair suggested that the sponsor, Council Member Bishop, confer with a Clay County Commissioner whom he had talked with who was also head of the Regional Planning Council, to discuss the feasibility of Duval working with Orange County and others to share the costs of a proposed study of the water withdrawal concern.
There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 8:36 a.m.
