The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m
The Chair asked the Council Auditors Office’s Janice Billy to review the agenda to indicate what items were ready for action or deferral.
The Chair inquired about the status of Item#6, ORD 2007-1348, ORD Amend 191.114 (Attendance & Participant Standards for Public Safety Emerg Med Personnel at Special Events), Ord Code, to Remove Requirements at Specified Indoor Events within 1 Mile of Jax Fire & Rescue Stations. The thought was that the Administration requested a deferral on the bill. Sherry Hall indicated that she would ascertain what precisely the Administration’s position was.
The Chair asked the Director of Housing and Neighborhoods to explain Item #13, ORD 2008-57, Approp $262,500 from Jax Housing Comm’s “ship” Funds from SHIP Foreclosure Prevention/Recaptured Grant Funds & from SHIP Housing Assistance Admin/Recaptured Grant Funds ($12,500) to the Authorized Expenditures Accts. Director Greger explained the bill and added that an RFP had been issued to have someone do the actual process and application work.
The Agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m.
