The Chair reviewed the agenda, citing those items that were going to be taken up and those items that were going to be deferred.

 

Lisa Rinaman advised the Committee that the Administration was requesting that Item #10, ORD 2008-211, Approp $311,030 from EPB Trust Fund to hire a Green Initiatives Coordinator, be deferred.

 

Item #20, RESO 2008-302, Expressing City’s Strong Encouragement that JTA USE THE Traditional  J-Bill Process to Amend Legislative Charter, was being withdrawn at the request of the sponsor.

 

The Chair indicated that a transportation steering committee gathering would be kicking off its nation-wide tour here in Jacksonville.  Representatives from the transportation industries (rail, trucking, bus, etc) and elected officials from all over the country will be here to see what we are doing with our infrastructure on the long term basis.
