The meeting was called to
order at 3:30 p.m. by Chairman Yarborough.
Chairman Yarborough reviewed
the Auditor’s marked agenda which included 2 items to be deferred and 3 items
to be read a second time and re-referred.
Regarding bill 2008-744 (authorizing the General Counsel to pursue all
legal and administrative avenues to oppose the Georgia-Pacific paper mill
permit for discharge of effluent into the St. Johns River), Sherry Hall stated
that the administration is compiling additional information as requested by
Council Member Webb and hopes to have the bill ready for action sometime in the
first quarter of 2009.
There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:32 p.m.
