TRANSPORTATION, ENERGY & UTILITIES AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Attendance:  Council Member Bishop (Acting Chair); Steve Rohan, Dylan Reingold, Office of General Counsel; Philip Peterson, Council Auditor’s Office; Bob Williams Public Works Department;  Lisa Rinaman, Administration; Fred Forbes, Chris Peterson, Derek Igou,  Environmental & Compliance; Paul Crawford Lindsey Ballas, JEDC; Paige Johnston; Glenn Morningstar, JSO; ECA Sandra Lane; Atty Tom Ingram; Sheronda Davis, Legislative Services.

 

The Acting Chair convened the meeting at 9:39 a.m. and reviewed the agenda, citing those items that were ready for action, deferral, withdrawal or second reading and those agenda items that would be open for public hearings.

 

Initially, Item #1, ORD 2007-968, Apv Fair Share Assessmt with SS Investment Group, LLC, for “Northwood Town Center” Proj was going to be deferred because, according to Attorney Johnston, the applicant was ready to move forward but the Council Auditor’s Office wanted to review the project further.  Steve Rohan recommended that the Committee take the matter up and decided whether to not to extend the deliberations for further review by the Auditors.

 

The Chair indicated that Chris Pearson would be at the Committee meeting to address and field questions on Item #17, ORD 2009-697, Approp $900,000 to Supplement Funding to Complete Restoration of South Mulch Site to Prelease Conditions Pursuant to Existing Lease Agreemt.

 

On Item #25, ORD 2009-710, Apv Fair Share Assessment with TRC Soutel, LLC, for the “TRC New Kings Retail Dev” Proj, Sheronda Davis noted that Legislative Services had not received the required advertisement fees from the client; the Chair proceeded to defer the measure.

 

On Item # 26, ORD 2009-711, Designating as a Recover Zone all Propty in City’s Enterprise Zone, Community Redev Areas, Former NAS Cecil Field & Empowerment Zone, Lisa Rinaman indicated that though C/M Johnston had previously requested delaying action on this bill, the Council Member would let the measure move out of Committee and will meet with Rinaman and Lindsey Ballas on Tuesday, September 22nd.

 

There being no further items on the agenda to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:43 a.m.
