TRANSPORTATION, ENERGY & UTILITIES AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

Attendance:  Council Member Bishop (Chair), C/M Brown;  Dylan Reingold, Steve Rohan, Jason Teal, Office of General Counsel; Phillip Peterson, Council Auditor’s Office; Stephen Smith, Planning & Development Department; Lin White, Bob Smith, John Jones, Public Works Department; James Richardson, Housing & Neighborhoods Department; Vince Seibold, Steve Pace,  Christi Veleta,  Environmental & Compliance Department; Geoffrey Sample; Sharonda Pender, Legislative Services.

 

The Chair convened the meeting at 9:32 a.m. and proceeded to review the agenda, citing those items that were ready for action, deferral, withdrawal or second reading.

 

The Chair inquired about the status of Item #1, ORD 2007-968, Apv Fair Share Assesmt with SS Investment Group for “Northwood Town Center” Proj; Dylan Reingold, Office of General Counsel, indicated that he expected that the bill would be ready to move in the fall.

 

Items #6 & 7, RESO 2009-197, Expressing Council’s Displeasure of JEA Considering Closing JEA Satellite Customer Care Ctrs, and RESO 2009-198, Encouraging JEA to keep open the Satellite Customer Care Ctrs, are being deferred per request of C/M Gaffney pending his scheduled meetings with JEA representatives.

 

On Item #8, ORD 2009-300, Granting Perpetual Easement Grant to AT&T, at No Cost, Over & Under a Portion of Ed Austin Park for Installation of Fiber Optic Cable for Svc to Parcel Leased by Police Athletic League, Phillip Peterson indicated that AT&T had a problem with part of the agreement that the City proposed; discussions are continuing between AT&T and the Office of General Counsel.

 

The Chair inquired about the status of Item #11, ORD 2009-352, Approp $271,767.21 from Tree Protection & Related Expenses Trust Fund for the “Oceanway Town Center-Landscaping” Proj.”  Phillips Peterson indicated that a meeting with the Public Works Department is planned for Thursday and that the legislation should be ready for action the next cycle.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 a.m.
