At the conclusion of the
meeting, Lt. Randy White of the Fire and Rescue Department made a brief
presentation in response to a request from the committee at its previous
meeting about fire station nicknames or monikers. He distributed copies of a memo regarding the
nicknames and stated that the firefighters at each station pay the cost of
producing signs, patches, truck logos, etc., not the City. He also noted that station monikers must be
approved by a division chief in the department before they can be used.
