At the conclusion of the
agenda Council Member Brown requested that personnel from the Code Enforcement
Division be invited to attend the next committee meeting to discuss the
ordinances, regulations and enforcement procedures related to informal car wash
businesses operating in the parking lots of convenience stores and to roadside
vendors (shrimp, vegetables, barbecue, etc.) presumably operating without
permits or licenses. It was suggested
that the Planning Department might be asked to address the zoning implications
as well.
