LAND USE AND ZONING COMMITTEE AGENDA MEETING MINUTES

 

October 4, 2011

Attendance:  Committee Chair Reggie Brown; Committee Members Lori Boyer, Doyle Carter, Jim Love, and Don Redman; Jason Gabriel, Office of General Counsel; Laurie Kattreh, Gary Kresel, and Sean Kelly, Department of Planning and Development; Merriane Lahmeur and Rick Campbell, Office of City Council

 

The Committee Chair, Reggie Brown, called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. and asked Mr. Gabriel to take everyone through the marked agenda containing the suggested committee actions.

 

Changes, additions, and comments concerning the agenda as marked included:

11-341 Waiting on legal description

11-550 Planning and Development Department recommendation to deny, but staff is working        with the applicant; it was stated that the public hearing could be continued and the bill         deferred tonight

11-551 Proposed amendment includes recommended conditions

11-552 Proposed amendment includes recommended conditions; Mr. Curtis Hart will be present    to answer questions, if needed

11-577  C/M Schellenberg expected to attend meeting; he has requested early consideration of      this item on the agenda

11-579  Waiver not needed and this repeals prior legislation; in response to a question from C/M    Carter, Mr. Kelly explained how the error occurred

11-581 Written request to withdraw received; withdrawal tonight questioned, as public hearing       notices for the next meeting have been sent; Chair inclined to defer, but suggestion made        that agent contact affected parties to advise of withdrawal; should know before tonight’s      meeting if agent is willing to do this

11-617 LUZ amendment to be proposed, including provisions of amendment approved prior           to deferral in Rules, Finance amendment, and clarification referencing time when        agreements will expire and no longer be required; 11-629 addresses the situation via             Comprehensive Plan amendment

11-629 C/M Holt expected to offer an amendment relative to project prioritization, which could      also include pending exhibit correction

 

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:43 p.m.
