Chair Reggie Brown; Committee Members Lori Boyer, Ray Holt, Jim Love, and Robin
Lumb; Dylan Reingold, Office of General Counsel; John Crofts and Sean Kelly, Department
of Planning and Development; Merriane Lahmeur and Rick Campbell, Office of City
Council; Jessica Deal, Office of the Mayor
The Committee Chair, Reggie
Brown, called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. and asked Mr. Crofts to take
everyone through the marked agenda containing the suggested committee actions.
Changes, additions, and
comments concerning the agenda as marked included:
11-252 Subcommittee meeting
today
11-381 Mr. Reingold explained
that an amendment is needed to either grant or deny the waiver, as such bills are drafted neutral; he also
indicated that conditions will be clarified
11-382 The Chair stated that
this item will be considered first; Planning and Development Department opposition was noted, but conditions
have been drafted should the committee decide
to approve the bill
11-408 In response to a
question from Mr. Reingold, it was indicated that there are no amendments being offered; C/M Love
commented on the legislation being of particular value to the Springfield area and a money saver; it was noted
that Mr. Jason Teal, Office of
General Counsel, will be present at the meeting
11-428 Legislation related to
a previous PUD; C/M Boyer questioned a discrepancy in language (opened and improved vs. unopened and
unimproved), and Mr. Reingold agreed to investigate
the matter for possible amendment
As there was no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
