Attendance:  Council Members Greg Anderson (Chair), Jim Love, Don Redman, Robin Lumb, John Crescimbeni; Mary Jarrett, Peggy Sidman,Office of General Counsel; Heather Norsworthy, Council Auditor’s Office; Lin White, Bob Williams, Public Works Department; Chris Warren, Chamber of Commerce; Randy Gallup; Jeff Foster, Public Works; Eric Fuller, Solid Waste; Ellen Fales, Planning Department; ECAs Kevin Kuzel, Debbie Delgado, Scott Dixon; Juliette Williams; Legislative Services; John J. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 p.m. and proceeded to review the agenda.

 

The Chair announced that representatives of Georgia-Pacific and the St. Johns Riverkeeper would not be at the Committee meeting to remark on Resolution 2011-607, Req FDEP to Delay Issuance of the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill Discharge Permit…, as originally planned.  Since the resolution is also in the Recreation, Community Services, Public Health & Safety Committee, and it’s Chair, Council Member Gulliford is out of the country, it was decided to air the resolution during the next Committee cycle.

 

Though Item #1, ORD 2010-608, Granting Shaw’s Land Clearing Appl for Renewal of CON to Operate a Yard Trash Processing Facility, was marked as deferred, Jeff Foster, Public Works, indicated that Council Member Jones, the bill’s sponsor, was satisfied that the measure was ready for action.

 

The chair indicated that Item #6, ORD 2011-460, Closing & Abandoning 3 Sections of Rosewood Ave, was being deferred at the request of Council Member Carter.

 

The Chair indicated that there could be an additional amendment offered to Item #17, ORD Providing for Transfer of $800,000 Currently Allocated for Constn of Monroe St (Portion of Courthouse Proj), and that Council Member Boyer would be at the Committee meeting to explain the proposed changes.

 

There being no further business, the agenda meeting was adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
