Attendance: Council Member Bishop (Chair); Dylan Reingold, Office of General Counsel; Heather Norsworthy, Council Auditor’s Office; Sherry Hall, Administration; Bob Williams, Lin White, PublicWorks; Philip Zamarron, Legislative Services; Diane Smith, Celeste Hicks, Allison Miller, ECAs; John J. Jackson, Council Research Division.
The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:29 p.m. and proceeded to review the agenda.
The Chair indicated that 10 items on the agenda were ready for action; 5 items were being deferred; 2 items were being seconded and re-referred and 1 item would be withdrawn.
On Item #5, ORD 2011-26, Providing for Location of Public of Public Defenders Of in Jake Godbold Bldg instead of Ed Ball Bldg as prev Provided in Ord 2007-401; Confirm Closure & Abandonment of W Monroe St (bet Broad & Pearl Sts); Approp $629,000 from Art In Public Places Acct for Courthouse Art, Lin White indicated that Public Works Director Joey Duncan would be at the Committee meeting address any issues and answer questions. Sherry Hall indicated that the Administration would have an amendment that deletes the arts in public places component in the bill.
The Chair announced that Twayne Duckworth, Office of General Counsel, would be at the Committee meeting to answer any questions on Item #10, ORD 2011-46, Apv Settlemt in Eminent Domain of Owner’s Damages of $150,000….in the Crystal Springs Rd Proj in Proceeding City of Jax v Edward S. Elias et al.
The Chair indicated that Dylan Reingold, Office of General
Counsel, would explain the status of Item #11, ORD 2011-47, Apv Settlemt
Agreement re San Marco Preservation Society, Inc., et al. v. City of
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:32 p.m.
