Attendance:  Council Member Bishop (Chair); Steve Rohan, Dylan Reingold, Kristina Nelson, Office of General Counsel; Heather Norsworthy, Council Auditor’s Office;   Sherry Hall Administration; Kevin Stork, City Comptroller; Ebenezer Gujjarlapudi, Environmental & Compliance Department; Diane Smith, ECA (Corrigan),  Philip Zamarron, Legislative Services, John J. Jackson, Council Research Division

 

The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and proceeded to review the agenda.

 

The Chair announced that JEA would be making a presentation on the progress of its Greenland Energy Center construction project.

 

The Chair inquired about the status of Items # 2 & 3, ORD 2010-608, Granting Shaws’ Land Clearing Appl for Renewal of CON to Operate a Yard Trash Processing Facility and ORD 2010-609, Granting A-Action Recycling Corp Appl for Renewal of CON to Operate a Constrn & Demolition Materials Recovery Facility; Heather Norsworthy reported that Council Member Jones’ ECA, Rupal Wells, requested that the bills be deferred until further notice.

 

The Chair indicated that Twayne Duckworth, Office of General Counsel, would be at the meeting to explain and field questions on Item #4, ORD 2010-878, Apv Reconveyance of
Approx 1.18 Acres as Part of Eminent Domain Settlemt of Owner’s (Bahri Industries, Inc) Propty re Parcel 106 for Ft Caroline Rd Proj, in Proceeding of City of Jax v Arlington American Legion Post 283.

 

After Environmental and Compliance Department Director Ebenezer Gujjarlapudi explained what the helicopter crash entailed in ORD 2010-895, Auth Risk Management to Dispose of a Damaged Schweizer Model 300C Helicopter, the Chair announced that though the item (#8) was marked for deferral on the agenda and that there had been questions regarding the circumstances of the crash raised at the Rules Committee earlier in the day,

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:33 p.m.
