NOTE: The next regular meeting will be held on
Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
Chairman Crescimbeni announced that an additional budget
hearing has been added from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th. The meeting will be recessed for 2 hours at
mid-day to enable members to attend a Chamber of Commerce function scheduled
that day. He also noted that the Friday,
August 24 budget hearing include discussion of the Public Works Department and
its Solid Waste Division, including the landfill tipping fee for Atlantic Beach
and Neptune Beach. Council Member
Gulliford and the Council Auditor’s Officer were requested to invite
representatives of those cities to be present for the discussion.
Council Member Anderson announced that the Finance
Committee’s Audit Subcommittee would be meeting immediately following the
conclusion of the Finance agenda in Conference Room A in Suite 425 to receive
the City’s annual independent audit from the auditing firm.

complete the proposed study within 30 days or if more time was needed. Chairman Crescimbeni suggested the
possibility of exploring an amendment to the Ordinance Code to add a
provision authorizing the City to withhold lease payments to a lessor that
